Positive Outcomes

How we ensure a positive outcome

In order to provide outstanding customer service, professionalism, and quality of workmanship, our clients need to feel comfortable with our process from start to finish. The basics should be timeless:

Understand.

What are the motives and goals behind your project? Are you comfortable in your home? Are you looking to decrease your heating and cooling costs? Are you looking to improve your indoor air quality? Do you want to rid your home of toxic materials? Are your systems outdated? Do you want more natural light?
We ask questions like these during the first client interview.

Educate.

Our team offers a depth of knowledge of the building trades, with a focus on sustainability and efficient design. We provide our clients with the tools to make informed decisions. From the outset, we take the time to address your questions. What can you do to increase your energy efficiency? We can show you. What type of heating system should I install? We will walk you through the process. Is it better to invest in new windows or insulation? We can create a spreadsheet showing the benefits and drawbacks of each measure. We genuinely love what we do, and never pass up an opportunity to share our knowledge or enthusiasm with our clients.

Design.

Homeowners need options. Our in-house designers take the time to provide a variety of options for your project. Pick the right option for you, and we will develop it appropriately to fit your aspirations.

Present.

For every project, we take the time to put together an honest and accurate proposal, which we will present to you in a professional setting. Once we have sent you our proposal, we can sit with you and go over each line item, how it relates to your budget, and what other options are available and realistic.

Plan.

With the decision made to move forward with your project, our team springs into action. Depending on the scope of work, we typically have resources allocated, a timeline established, and subcontractors scheduled. This lead-in time gives your project manager the time to make necessary preparations, secure permits, and prepare the work areas for the project.

Build.

Our comprehensive planning process pays off during the building process. Once a contract is signed and a date to “break ground” is set, our team delivers. The Project Manager and administrative contact will guide you through a seamless construction experience with an end result that exceeds your expectations.

Test.

The entire BGB team stands behind our work with confidence. In order to demonstrate our commitment, we urge our clients to have us test the work before and after the project. We can use state-of-the-art efficiency testing equipment (such as a blower door, duct blaster, IR camera) to show the difference in the performance of your home.
